Ingredients

Hot Honey Dressing Ingredients

  • ¾ cup light olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼-½ tsp red pepper flakes (or more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place all ingredients including light olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, ground mustard, dried basil, thyme, oregano, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes into a jar or medium mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk to Emulsify: Vigorously whisk the mixture until it is fully combined and emulsified, creating a smooth and well-blended vinaigrette.
  3. Serve or Store: Use immediately as a dressing or marinade, or cover and refrigerate. Shake or whisk again before use as separation may occur.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the heat level according to your preference.
  • This dressing keeps well in the refrigerator for up to one week; bring to room temperature and whisk before using.
  • Use light olive oil for a milder flavor; extra virgin olive oil may overpower the delicate balance.
  • Great as a salad dressing, marinade for grilled vegetables or chicken, or drizzled over roasted dishes for added flavor.
