This Quick & Easy Guacamole Recipe is a simple and delicious way to enjoy fresh avocados with a flavorful blend of spices, lime juice, cilantro, and tomatoes. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, this guacamole is ready in minutes and can be made ahead to enhance its flavors.

Ingredients

Guacamole Ingredients

  • 3 Medium Avocados
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ – 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 small tomatoes, deseeded and diced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Cut open avocados lengthwise, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl using a spoon.
  2. Mash the Avocados: Use a potato masher or fork to gently mash the avocado, keeping it slightly chunky for texture.
  3. Add Spices and Lime: Add ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, ½ teaspoon sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon lime juice to the mashed avocados. Mix according to your preferred texture, using a fork or masher for smoothness or a rubber spatula for chunkier guacamole.
  4. Mix in Fresh Ingredients: Stir in chopped fresh cilantro and deseeded diced tomatoes until well combined.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the guacamole and add additional salt or lime juice if desired to balance flavors.
  6. Rest the Guacamole: Let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. Storage Tips: If making more than 30 minutes ahead, place a pit in the guacamole center, add a splash of lime juice on top, then cover tightly with plastic wrap to prevent browning. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  8. Serve: Serve the guacamole at room temperature or chilled according to your preference.

Notes

  • Leaving the avocado slightly chunky adds texture and a rustic feel to the guacamole.
  • Adding the pit to the guacamole and covering tightly helps slow browning when storing.
  • Adjust salt and lime juice to suit your taste preferences.
  • Best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours with proper storage.
  • This guacamole pairs well with chips, tacos, or as a topping for grilled meats.
