A soothing and elegant London Fog Drink combining fragrant Earl Grey tea with creamy vanilla-infused milk and a touch of honey for natural sweetness. Perfect for a cozy afternoon treat or an uplifting start to your day.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 teaspoons loose Earl Grey tea or 2 Earl Grey tea bags

Milk Mixture

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Collect all necessary components—hot water, Earl Grey tea, milk, vanilla bean paste, and honey to prepare your London Fog.
  2. Steep the Tea: Bring water to a boil using a kettle. Place the loose tea leaves or tea bags in a heat-safe glass measuring cup. Pour the boiling water over the tea and allow it to steep for 5 minutes for a rich, flavorful infusion.
  3. Strain the Tea: Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaves out of the brewed tea. Then pour this freshly brewed tea evenly into two mugs to serve as the drink’s base.
  4. Froth the Milk Mixture: Combine the milk, vanilla bean paste, and honey in a milk frother. Froth until the mixture is smooth, velvety, and fluffy, adding a luxurious texture and flavor.
  5. Assemble and Serve: Divide the frothy milk mixture evenly over the brewed tea in each mug. Serve immediately to enjoy the comforting warmth and aromatic blend of flavors.

Notes

  • Use full-fat or your preferred milk alternative for a creamier texture.
  • Adjust the amount of honey based on your desired sweetness level.
  • If you don’t have a milk frother, heat and whisk the milk vigorously to create foam.
  • Vanilla bean paste provides a richer vanilla flavor compared to vanilla extract.
  • For a vegan version, substitute milk with almond, soy, or oat milk and use a plant-based sweetener.
