This refreshing Iced Mocha recipe combines rich chocolate and coffee flavors with a smooth blend of cold brew concentrate and milk, sweetened naturally with honey and sugar. Perfect for a quick homemade coffeehouse-style treat to enjoy anytime.

Ingredients

Chocolate Sauce

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (granulated or coconut sugar)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

Iced Mocha

  • 1/2 cup mocha sauce (prepared from above)
  • 2 cups cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup cold milk of choice
  • ice, as needed

Instructions

  1. Make the mocha chocolate sauce: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, honey, and cocoa powder. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly to dissolve the cocoa powder completely. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it simmer gently for 1 minute. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool completely. Refrigerate covered until ready to use.
  2. Prepare the iced mochas: Pour a few tablespoons of the cooled chocolate sauce into the bottom of each serving glass. Add ice cubes to fill the glass about halfway.
  3. Add cold brew concentrate: Pour 1 cup of cold brew concentrate into each glass over the chocolate sauce and ice.
  4. Top with milk: Add 1/2 cup of cold milk to each glass, or adjust the amount to your preference for creaminess and flavor.
  5. Garnish and serve: Optionally, drizzle extra chocolate sauce on top for a decorative and flavorful finish. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade iced mocha.

Notes

  • Use coconut sugar or granulated sugar depending on your preference for sweetness and flavor profile.
  • The mocha sauce can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to one week.
  • Adjust milk type to your dietary needs or taste, including dairy or plant-based options.
  • For a richer mocha, use whole milk or add a splash of cream.
  • Add whipped cream or chocolate shavings on top for an extra indulgent treat.
