Ingredients

Salmon and Seasoning

  • 4 salmon fillets (5-6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cream Cheese Sauce

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp milk or water (to thin as needed)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Salad

  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 small red onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/3 cup capers, drained
  • 4 radishes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare salmon: Preheat your oven to 400 °F. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Season salmon: Rub each fillet evenly with olive oil. Generously sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning over the salmon, pressing it gently to adhere to the surface. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Bake salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the fish is flaky and cooked through.
  4. Make the cream cheese sauce: In a bowl or small food processor, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and garlic. Slowly add milk or water one teaspoon at a time to achieve a drizzleable consistency. Season with salt, pepper, and chopped fresh dill. Refrigerate the sauce until ready to serve.
  5. Prepare the salad: In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, avocado slices, radish slices, and capers.
  6. Dress the salad: Whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss the mixed salad ingredients lightly with the dressing, ensuring an even coat.
  7. Assemble the dish: Divide the salad onto plates or arrange it on a large serving dish. Lay the baked salmon fillets over the salad and generously drizzle with the creamy dill sauce. Garnish with additional capers or fresh dill if desired, then serve immediately.

  • Everything Bagel Seasoning can be homemade or store-bought; adjust quantity for personal preference.
  • Milk can be substituted with water or a dairy-free milk for thinning the sauce.
  • This dish pairs well with crusty bread or cooked quinoa for a more hearty meal.
