A refreshing and energizing Coffee Smoothie blending frozen bananas, cold brew coffee, almond milk, and rich almond butter for a creamy, naturally sweet treat perfect for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • frozen bananas
  • ½ to ¾ cup cold brew coffee concentrate, to taste
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk, plus more as needed
  • 3 soft Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, plus more for garnish
  • 2 handfuls of ice

Garnish

  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a blender, add the frozen bananas, cold brew coffee concentrate, unsweetened almond milk, pitted Medjool dates, almond butter, vanilla bean paste, and cinnamon. This combination creates the smooth base flavor of the smoothie.
  2. Blend Smooth: Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add additional almond milk, a little at a time, to help the ingredients blend evenly.
  3. Add Ice and Blend Again: Add the two handfuls of ice to the blender, then blend once more until the ice is fully incorporated and the smoothie reaches your desired chilled consistency.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Pour the smoothie into glasses. Garnish each glass with a light dusting of cinnamon and chocolate shavings for an extra touch of flavor and visual appeal.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of cold brew coffee concentrate to control the coffee flavor intensity.
  • Use soft Medjool dates for natural sweetness; remove pits before blending.
  • For a creamier smoothie, ensure bananas are completely frozen.
  • Feel free to substitute almond milk with any other plant-based milk you prefer.
  • Chocolate shavings add a nice garnish but can be omitted for a dairy-free or simpler presentation.
  • Vanilla bean paste provides rich flavor, but vanilla extract can be used as an alternative.
