This delicious Chocolate-Peanut Butter Fudge combines creamy peanut butter and rich semisweet chocolate in a smooth, marbled treat that’s easy to prepare. The fudge is chilled to set into perfect squares, making it an ideal sweet snack or dessert for peanut butter and chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk, divided in half
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

For Garnish

  • Chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang on two sides to make removal easy. Lightly coat the lined pan with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt peanut butter: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter with half of the sweetened condensed milk. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth and slightly thickened, about 60-90 seconds total. Set aside.
  3. Melt chocolate: In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, vanilla bean paste, kosher salt, and the remaining half of the sweetened condensed milk. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until the chocolate is just melted and mixture is very smooth, approximately 60-90 seconds total. If some chips remain unmelted, let stand for 1-2 minutes then stir until fully melted.
  4. Swirl mixtures: Pour the melted chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of the peanut butter mixture on top. Using a butter knife or a skewer lightly coated with cooking spray, gently swirl the two mixtures together to create a marbled effect without completely blending them. If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts evenly on top and press lightly so they stick.
  5. Refrigerate: Cover the pan and place in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours or until the fudge is firm and set.
  6. Cut: Use the parchment or foil overhang to lift the fudge from the pan. Transfer to a cutting board and cut into small squares. Serve chilled or at cool room temperature for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • For easier removal, ensure the parchment or foil overhang is sufficient to lift the fudge out comfortably.
  • Use creamy peanut butter for a smooth texture; chunky peanut butter can be used if a more textured fudge is desired.
  • If you prefer a sweeter fudge, consider using sweetened chocolate chips.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Allow fudge to come to room temperature for a few minutes before eating if too firm from refrigeration.
