A delightful Tiramisu Latte recipe that combines rich espresso, creamy mascarpone, and a hint of cocoa for a luxurious coffee treat. This single-serving latte features a frothy milk base with a smooth mascarpone cream topping, dusted with cocoa powder for that classic tiramisu flavor.

Ingredients

Espresso Base

  • 60 mL espresso (a double shot)
  • 5 grams unsweetened cocoa powder

Milk Mixture

  • 180 mL milk
  • 1 tsp raw sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Mascarpone Cream

  • 28 grams mascarpone cheese (room temperature)
  • 30 mL heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar

Garnish

  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare Espresso: Use an espresso machine or prepared espresso powder to make a double shot (60 mL) of espresso. Stir in the 5 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder until fully dissolved to infuse the espresso with a rich chocolate flavor.
  2. Froth Milk: In a frother or with a whisk, heat and froth 180 mL of milk combined with 1 teaspoon of raw sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Heat the milk to your preferred drinking temperature while creating a desirable foam amount. Pour this frothed milk over the espresso mixture in your serving cup.
  3. Make Mascarpone Cream: In a jar with a tight lid, combine 28 grams of room-temperature mascarpone cheese, 30 mL of cold heavy whipping cream, and 2 teaspoons of powdered sugar. Shake vigorously until the mixture forms soft peaks, ensuring it has a creamy, airy texture that blends well with the latte.
  4. Assemble and Garnish: Carefully pour the mascarpone cream on top of the latte. Finish by dusting a little cocoa powder over the cream for a classic tiramisu touch. Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more raw sugar according to your taste preference.
  • If the mascarpone cream starts to sink, shake or whisk it again to bring it back to a frothy consistency.
  • For a non-espresso option, use strong brewed coffee or instant espresso powder.
  • Ensure the mascarpone cheese is at room temperature for smoother whipping.
  • Use cold heavy cream to achieve better peaks when shaking the mascarpone cream.
