Ingredients

1¼ cups all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon instant yeast

½ teaspoon sugar

⅛ teaspoon salt

½ cup warm water (110°F)

1 tablespoon olive oil

8 oz fresh mozzarella, cut into ½-inch cubes

½ cup pizza sauce

Optional: ¼ cup finely chopped pepperoni or other toppings

1 tablespoon melted butter

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Optional: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Stir in warm water and olive oil until a sticky dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the dough into a 12×8-inch rectangle and cut into 24 squares.
  4. Place a mozzarella cube and a teaspoon of sauce on each square. Add optional toppings if using.
  5. Fold the dough squares and seal edges tightly to enclose the filling.
  6. Place the filled snacks on the baking sheet. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning, and brush over each piece. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use pre-made dough to save time.

Fillings are flexible—try different cheeses or sautéed vegetables.

Skip the sauce inside and serve it on the side for tidier snacks.

Seal edges tightly to prevent leaks.

Great for freezing—bake directly from frozen with a few extra minutes.
