Spinach Garlic Meatballs Stuffed with Mozzarella are tender, savory meatballs filled with gooey mozzarella. Packed with spinach and garlic, they offer a delicious, cheesy surprise in every bite.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Marinara sauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, spinach, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Take a small amount of the mixture and flatten it into a patty. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and mold the meat around it to form a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through.
  • Serve the meatballs with marinara sauce, pasta, or on their own for a hearty meal.

Notes

For a different protein, substitute ground chicken for beef or turkey.

Fresh herbs like basil or parsley can be added to the meatball mixture for extra flavor.

Use gluten-free breadcrumbs or almond flour for a gluten-free version.

Reheat leftovers in a skillet with marinara sauce or microwave until heated through.
