Spicy Cajun Honey Butter Chicken Pasta is a flavorful dish that combines the bold heat of Cajun seasoning, the sweetness of honey, and the richness of butter in a creamy sauce. The chicken and pasta soak up all the delicious flavors, making it both comforting and exciting.

Ingredients

Chicken breasts

Cajun seasoning

Butter

Olive oil

Garlic (minced)

Honey

Heavy cream

Pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)

Salt and pepper

Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the honey, heavy cream, and a pinch of Cajun seasoning. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Slice the chicken and add it back to the skillet with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together to coat in the sauce.
  6. Serve with fresh parsley and additional Cajun seasoning, if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with sautéed vegetables like bell peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms.

For more heat, add more Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes.

For a healthier alternative, use gluten-free or whole wheat pasta.

If you prefer a milder dish, reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning or use a mild blend.

You can freeze the chicken and sauce mixture separately for up to 1 month and cook fresh pasta when ready to serve.
