Instructions

  1. Preheat the skillet: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat to get it hot enough for searing the beef and toasting the tortillas.
  2. Shape and season the beef: Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla, creating a thin, even layer. Season the beef generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for maximum flavor.
  3. Cook the beef side: Place the tortilla beef-side down on the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  4. Flip and add cheese: Carefully flip the tortilla, then sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef side. Fold the tortilla in half, creating a quesadilla shape, and continue grilling on both sides until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melted.
