Smash Chicken Caesar Tacos are a flavorful and creative twist on the classic Caesar salad, served in taco form. With tender smashed chicken, creamy Caesar dressing, crisp lettuce, and crunchy croutons, these tacos are perfect for a fun and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

8 small flour or corn tortillas

2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped

1/2 cup Caesar dressing

1/4 cup croutons, crushed

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked, with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Let the chicken rest.
  2. Use a fork or meat mallet to gently smash the chicken until shredded and evenly flattened. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20-30 seconds until soft.
  4. Spread Caesar dressing onto each tortilla, then add chopped romaine lettuce. Top with the smashed chicken, crushed croutons, Parmesan cheese, and additional Caesar dressing if desired.
  5. Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy!

Notes

Grilled chicken can be used for a different flavor. Simply season and grill before smashing.

For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or drizzle hot sauce over the tacos.

Use kale or spinach instead of romaine for a different texture and flavor.

To make the dish gluten-free, use gluten-free tortillas.

For leftovers, store chicken separately from lettuce and tortillas. Reheat the chicken in a skillet before assembling the tacos.
