A quick and delicious Sesame Peanut Butter Noodles recipe featuring a creamy, flavorful sauce made with sesame oil, peanut butter, honey, soy sauce, and fresh ginger. Perfect for a simple Asian-inspired meal ready in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Noodles

  • 6 oz. of your favorite Asian noodles (such as soba, rice noodles, or ramen noodles without the flavor packet)

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp. pure sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp. grated fresh ginger root

Optional Garnish

  • 3 sliced green onions
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Prepare the Asian noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside while still hot.
  2. Make the sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the sesame oil, peanut butter, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated fresh ginger. Whisk vigorously until the peanut butter is fully broken down and the sauce is smooth and well combined.
  3. Toss noodles with sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the hot, drained noodles. Toss thoroughly to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.
  4. Garnish and serve: Optionally, top each serving with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and texture. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use any Asian noodles you prefer, such as soba, rice noodles, or ramen noodles without seasoning.
  • Adjust the amount of honey or soy sauce to your taste for more sweetness or saltiness.
  • The sauce can be served warm or at room temperature.
  • For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup.
  • Add vegetables like shredded carrots or cucumber slices for extra freshness and crunch.
