Halloween Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and festive cookies loaded with chocolate chips, Halloween-colored candies, and sprinkles. They’re a fun seasonal twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie, perfect for spooky gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup Halloween-colored chocolate candies (like M&Ms)

2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and most of the candies, saving some for topping.
  5. Scoop dough onto prepared sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart. Press extra candies and sprinkles on top of each.
  6. Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden but centers are soft. Let cool on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Add white chocolate chips for a black-and-orange color contrast.

Press candy corn pieces into the cookies after baking for extra Halloween flair.

Make bakery-style cookies by scooping larger dough balls and extending bake time slightly.

Microwave a cookie for 8–10 seconds before eating to make the chocolate gooey again.
