A comforting one-pan meal of tender ground beef and golden potatoes, seasoned with garlic, paprika, and oregano. This simple dish is hearty, satisfying, and easy to make.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

4 large potatoes, peeled and diced

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup beef broth (optional, for extra flavor)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender. Remove potatoes from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook over medium heat, breaking apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to skillet with ground beef and sauté for 3-4 minutes until onions are soft and fragrant.
  4. Return cooked potatoes to skillet and add paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. If desired, add beef broth and stir. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Add extra vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or peas for more flavor and nutrition.

For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños.

For a cheesy version, top with shredded cheese in the last few minutes of cooking.

Use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version of this dish.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
