Crispy and flavorful air fryer garlic parmesan fries, perfect as a quick and delicious side dish. These fries are coated with garlic, parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley, offering a cheesy and savory twist on classic homemade fries. Ready in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Potatoes and Seasoning

  • 3 large potatoes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Other Ingredients

  • 2-3 tablespoons oil (start with 2 tablespoons and add more if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ⅔ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • ½ tablespoon parsley (fresh, chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Peel the 3 large potatoes and cut them into your desired size for fries, whether thick or thin, to ensure even cooking.
  2. Season the Fries: Place the cut fries into a mixing bowl. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil over the fries and add salt and pepper. Toss thoroughly to coat all fries evenly. Add an extra tablespoon of oil if needed to ensure good coating.
  3. Air Fry the Fries: Transfer the coated fries into the air fryer basket, spreading them out for even cooking. Set the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) and cook for 17-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure crispiness on all sides.
  4. Add Garlic and Cheese: Once cooked, remove the fries from the air fryer and immediately top them with the minced garlic and shredded parmesan cheese. Toss lightly to combine while hot.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the fries with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately for the best flavor and crisp texture.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking and dry thoroughly.
  • Use fresh parmesan cheese for a more intense flavor.
  • You can adjust the garlic quantity depending on your preference for pungency.
  • These fries are best enjoyed hot right after cooking.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, these can be baked in a conventional oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
