Ingredients

Gnocchi:

  • 2 lbs gnocchi

Sauce:

  • 12 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 28 oz San Marzano Peeled Tomatoes
  • 46 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 sprigs fresh basil leaves (about 20 leaves)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Prepare Gnocchi: Cook gnocchi according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Saute Garlic: In a skillet, sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  3. Add Tomatoes: Add San Marzano tomatoes and basil, bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer: Reduce heat, simmer sauce for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Finish Sauce: Stir in heavy cream, sugar, salt, and pepper. Remove basil leaves.
  6. Combine: Toss cooked gnocchi in sauce until coated.
