A silky, sweet, and tangy cream cheese syrup that adds a luxurious touch to pancakes, waffles, fruit, and desserts. It’s quick to make and endlessly versatile.

Ingredients

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup milk or half-and-half

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Optional: 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm cream cheese and milk together, stirring until smooth.
  2. Whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until fully incorporated and silky.
  3. If using, stir in butter until melted and blended.
  4. Continue to cook gently, stirring, for 1–2 more minutes until the syrup is creamy and pourable.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly—it will thicken as it cools.
  6. Transfer to a jar or container and drizzle warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Add lemon or orange zest for citrus brightness.

Use maple syrup or honey for alternative sweetness.

Spice it up with cinnamon or nutmeg.

Whisk in cocoa powder for a chocolate version.

Use a yogurt-cream cheese blend to mellow the richness.
