Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea is a sophisticated blend of floral Earl Grey tea, sweet cherries, and creamy milk. This refreshing beverage combines fruity, floral, and creamy notes for a delightful twist on classic milk tea.

Ingredients

1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose leaf Earl Grey tea)

1/2 cup fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)

1 tablespoon honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

Ice (optional, for iced version)

Fresh cherries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the tea: In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep the Earl Grey tea bag (or loose leaf tea in a tea infuser) for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and set the tea aside to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the cherry syrup: Combine the cherries and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the cherries soften and release their juices. Mash the cherries to create a chunky syrup. Strain if a smoother syrup is desired. Allow the syrup to cool.
  3. Combine the tea and milk: Once the tea and cherry syrup have cooled, mix them together. Add the milk and stir well. For iced tea, pour the mixture over a glass filled with ice cubes.
  4. Serve: Pour into a cup or glass. Garnish with fresh cherries if desired.
  5. Enjoy: Sip and enjoy your aromatic, fruity, and creamy Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea!

Notes

Add a splash of vanilla extract for enhanced creaminess.

Switch up the fruit syrup with raspberry or blackberry for a different twist.

For an iced version, add tapioca pearls (boba) for a bubble tea experience.

Adding a dash of cinnamon or cardamom can give a spiced flavor to the tea.
