This Baked Honey Mustard Chicken features tender, juicy chicken breasts baked in a tangy-sweet honey mustard glaze. It’s a fuss-free, family-friendly dish that comes together in under an hour.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

⅓ cup Dijon mustard

¼ cup whole-grain mustard (or use all Dijon)

⅓ cup honey

2 tbsp olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp dried thyme (or 1 tsp fresh)

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, whole‑grain mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Place chicken breasts in the baking dish. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of glaze. Brush the remaining glaze over the chicken.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Brush with reserved glaze and bake another 10–12 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C).
  5. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Add Greek yogurt or sour cream for a creamier sauce.

Stir in cayenne or sriracha for heat.

Add lemon juice or slices for a citrus note.

Use rosemary or oregano instead of thyme.

Grill instead of bake for a smoky variation.
