These 2-Ingredient Pizza Chips are a quick and easy snack featuring crispy mozzarella cheese and mini turkey pepperoni baked into bite-sized cups. Perfect for a low-carb, high-protein treat that captures the flavors of pizza without the crust.

Ingredients

Cheese

  • 2/3 cup (80 g) low-moisture shredded mozzarella cheese

Meat

  • 48 slices (about 21 g) mini turkey pepperoni

Optional

  • Italian seasoning, to taste (optional)
  • Marinara sauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the interior of a mini muffin pan, but only grease 16 cups since this recipe yields 16 chips.
  2. Add Cheese: Measure and add 2 teaspoons of shredded mozzarella cheese into each greased cup. Lightly press the cheese down so it packs evenly into the cups.
  3. Top with Pepperoni: Place 3 slices of mini turkey pepperoni on top of the cheese in each cup. If you want extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning over the pepperoni.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes, or until the edges of the cheese are a deep golden brown.
  5. Cool and Drain: Remove the muffin pan from the oven and let the chips cool until they are safe to touch. Then carefully remove them from the pan and transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
  6. Serve: Serve warm as is or with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Using turkey pepperoni results in less fat release compared to regular pepperoni, making the chips slightly less oily but still crispy.
  • Make sure to grease the muffin pan well to prevent sticking.
  • These chips are best enjoyed fresh from the oven but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two and reheated for crispiness.
  • Feel free to experiment by adding your favorite pizza herbs or seasoning to customize flavor.
